here it goes...
I’m Lennina Ofori—a multi-hyphenate, serial mumpreneur, wife, woman of faith, creative, mentor, and consultant—passionate about using the arts, storytelling, and advocacy to drive transformation. For over 20 years, I’ve worked across youth services, social care, and the arts, leading 15+ staff to champion those overlooked or underestimated.
As Founder & CEO of Principal Housing, I lead a team dedicated to supporting young people aged 16+ and care leavers, equipping them with stability, guidance, and the tools for independence. Through The Awareness TAP, my independent film and social action research company, I create immersive storytelling experiences that challenge inequalities and amplify marginalised voices.
“I have had the privilege of collaborating with Lennina during her participation as a speaker at our recent #ThisIsBlackGenZ launch event. Her presentation was not only incredibly inspirational but also deeply personal, resonating profoundly with our audience. Based on her outstanding performance and ability to captivate and motivate our attendees, I wholeheartedly endorse Lennina for any future public speaking engagements. Her skill, passion, and dedication make her an invaluable asset to any event or initiative.”
A creative activist and ethnographer, I’ve written for theatre in the criminal justice system, directed for The National Theatre’s youth partnerships, and worked with organisations like BBC Children in Need, HS2, and Sainsbury Family Charitable Trust. My work is shaped by a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and systemic change, blending research, consultancy, and storytelling to drive impact.
With an MA in Theatre & Criminal Justice from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and a Doctorate in progress focused on storytelling for system change, I merge academic insight with real-world action. As a public speaker, consultant, and coach, I help organisations develop meaningful diversity and inclusion strategies, leveraging storytelling to inspire action.
Balancing motherhood, family, and entrepreneurship, I bring a personal, lived-experience lens to everything I do. My debut book, ADVOCATE: A Voice from the Margins, explores intersectionality, systemic reform, and the power of lived experience, encouraging us all to be agents of change.
